Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the recruitment of posts of Excise & Taxation Inspectors (Group C) in the Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab :

• Excise & Taxation Inspectors : 164 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.5480-8925, Qualification : Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized University or institution or its equivalent and should have passed Punjabi subject upto Matric standard. Candidate should possess at least 120 hours course with working experience in the use of Personal Computers or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a Govt. recognized institution or a reputed institution which is ISO 9001 certified.OR A computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC of Govt. of India., Age : 18-35 years

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on written examination only. There will not be any interview.

Application Fee : General Category : Rs. 500/-, SC/ST : Rs. 250/-.All the ex-servicemen of Punjab are exempted from the payment of fee.The requisite fee should be in the shape of crossed bank draft/ pay order/ bankers’ cheque/ postal order in favour of Excise and Taxation Commissioner, Punjab, payable at Patiala. Candidate should write name and address on the back side of bank draft/pay order/bankers’ cheque/postal order.

How to Apply : The completed application form should be sent by Registered post/ courier/ by hand to the Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Punjab, Bhupindra Road, Patiala – 147001. The last date for submission of application shall be 15^th September, 2008.
