Applications are invited on thick, foolscap paper in the prescribed format for the following post/posts. Number of posts may increase or decrease.

1. Directorate of Culture, UP
   • Junior Technical Assistant (Deptt. No.S-3/44): 01 post (SC), Pay Scale : Rs.4500-7000/-, Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with modern Indian History as a subject (ii) Good knowledge of Hindi, Age : 21 to 35 years.
   • Technical Assistant (Persian) (Deptt. No.S-3/43) : 01 post (SC) (in UP State Archives), Pay Scale : Rs.5000-8000/-, Qualification : Master’s Degree in Persian (ii) Good knowledge of Nastlik & Naksht, Age : 21 to 35 years.
2. Directorate of Sports, UP 
   • Assistant Coach (Deptt. No.S-3/45) Boxing : 02 posts (SC-1, UR-1), Qualification : Graduate (ii) Diploma in coaching from NIS (iii) Must have represented the university team in Inter-versity tournament or represented the State School team in All India School tournament as a player., Age : 21-35
3. State Planning Institute UP
   • Research Officer (Engineering) : 01 post (SC), (Code : S-2/12), Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualification : Degree in technology/ Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engg./ Agriculture Engg./ Industrial Engg. (ii) Good knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Script, Age : 21 to 35 years
   • Field Investigator : 01 post (SC), (Code : S-2/17), Pay Scale : Rs.5500-9000/-, Qualification : Postgraduate in Statistics/ Mathematics or Agriculture or Agricultural Economics (with Statistics) or Anthropology (with cultural Anthropology) or Sociology or Applied Sociology or Psychology (with Social Psychology) or economics (preferably with Statistics as one of the subject in degree course) or social work, Age : 21 to 35 years
4. Fire Service Department, UP 
   • Chief Fire Officer : 12 posts (OBC-4, SC-2) (Code : S-1/5), Pay Scale :Rs. 8000-13500/-, Qualification : 3 years Degree in  Fire Engineering National Fire Service College, Nagpur. or equivalent OR Divisional Officer course from National Fire Service College Nagpur or equivalent course., Age : 23 to 35 years.
5. Excise Department, UP)
   • Assistant Alcohol Technologist : 01 post (SC) (Code : S-5/5) , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13000, Qualification : Master’s degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy or microbiology and at least 3 years experience of working in a chemical laboratory Or A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Age : 21 to 35 years.
6. Animal Husbandry Department, UP
   • Farm Manager  : 02 posts (SC-1,OBC-1) (Code : S-2/14),  , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500, Qualification : PG in Agriculture with 3 years practical experience in agriculture OR B.V.Sc. and A.H. Degree with B.Sc. (Ag), Age : 21-35 years
   • Veterinary Medical Officer  : 93 posts (SC-19, OBC-25, ST-2,  UR-47) (Code : S-2/13), , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500, Qualification : B.V.Sc. & A. H., Age : 21-35 years
   • Veterinary Medical Officer (Special Recruitment) : 122 posts (SC-89, ST-33) (Code : S-2/15), , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500, Qualification : B.V.Sc. & A. H., Age : 21-35 years
   • Enumerator/ Computer  : 08 posts (SC-6, ST-2) (Code : S-2/16), , Pay Scale : Rs.5000-8000, Qualification : Bachelor degree with Statistics or Mathematics (ii) Knowledge of Hindi written in devnagri script., Age : 21-35 years

Fee : Fee Rs.100/- (Rs.60/- for SC,ST,PH candidates) should be deposited through treasury challan of treasuries located in UP only, in the account head "0051, Public Service Commission 105 State Public Service Commission Examination Fee, 01-State Public Service Commission Examination Fee" and original challan be attached with the application. Fee through DD can also be deposited in favour of "Secretary, Public Service Commission, UP" at Allahabad.

How to Apply : Application should be submitted on the prescribed format only on thick foolscape paper in Devnagri Script. It may be typed / hand written or photostat. Application completed in all respects must reach the “Secretary, (Deptt No..........) Public Service Commission, UP, 10, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Allahabad-211018” at the Commission’s office either by registered post or by hand upto 5.00 p.m. on or before 12th September, 2008. One passport size attested photograph should be pasted on the format, photograph may be attested by a gazetted officer/Head of the institution where candidate has received education/Head of the Department where the candidate is at present employed. Application must be accompanied by self attested photocopies of Higher Secondary/ High School certificates a proof of age / Self attested copy of Degree/Diploma or its equivalent.
